We would like to run an SEO experiment to figure it out.<br /><br />Our Hypothesis<br />Higher Keyword density on a certain keyword will lead a higher ranking on google.<br /><br />The SetUp <br />We use the OptliLink version 3.4.5 to run the KEY WORD DENSITY ANALYSIS on our subject site. <br /><br />The Subjects Keyword - WALKERA<br /><a href="http://www.walkera.com">Walkera</a> is the brand name of a <a href="http://www.happibuy.com">remote control helicopter </a> which is produced in China.<br /><br />We ran a search on www.google.com, which then generated 124,000 results listing contains the subject word , WALKERA.<br /><br />This SEO experiment would investigate the TOP Nine listing.<br />Here are the list of the results on the Key Word "walkera". Ranking listed from TOP to bottom.<br /><br />www.walkera.com/ = 0% <br />walkera.en.alibaba.com/ = 2%<br />epguides.com/WalkerTexasRanger = 0%<br />www.rc-expert.com/product.php?pid=94 = 2%<br />www.globalsources.com/si/6008800619226/haudy.co = 1%<br />www.ecn.bris.ac.uk/het/walkera = 6%<br />www.etamiya.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=458 = 3%<br />www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=3309947 = 1%<br />www.micromike.com/walkera.html = 9%<br /><br />Does the Key word density works in this result?<br /><br />The result<br /><br />We did a Keyword density analysis for those top Nine site with the following results.<br />www.walkera.com/ = 0% <br />walkera.en.alibaba.com/ = 2%<br />epguides.com/WalkerTexasRanger = 0%<br />www.rc-expert.com/product.php?pid=94 = 2%<br />www.globalsources.com/si/6008800619226/haudy.co = 1%<br />www.ecn.bris.ac.uk/het/walkera = 6%<br />www.etamiya.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=458 = 3%<br />www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=3309947 = 1%<br />www.micromike.com/walkera.html = 9%<br /><br />Surprisingly! The result conflicts with our traditional thinking. In this case, Key word density does not really affect the page ranking on the word "WALKERA". Even the TOP one website www.walkera.com has NO one single word of "walkera" still can sit on the first seat. While the micromike.com has 9% of key word density still losing.<br /><br />One thing should be noted, the third ranking epguides.com/WalkerTexasRanger which do not have any key word still on that high ranking. We can guess that Google may has some "similiar search function". WALKERA is not a common word, google may try to list up some site which is similar to "WALKERA". This phenonmen will be investigated in the future.<br /><br />But what make www.walkera.com go to the Toppest even it don't included a single word of "walkera"? Incoming links? Internal links? Link Reputation matters?
